Teen book review contest
The Columbia County Rural Library District and the Friends of the Dayton Memorial Library are sponsoring a teen book review contest and the grand prize is a Kindle Fire. It's cold outside and that means it's time to cozy up with a good book. Express yourself by letting the world know how you feel about books. You can write up to 5 reviews to enter, and the best ones will be published on this blog!
This contest is for students in grades 6-12.
You are allowed to enter reviews for up to five different books.
The judging will be blind: meaning that the judges will not know who you are when they read your review.
Winning entries will be typed, double spaced in 12 point font. They shouldn’t be more than 4 pages long.
Reviews will be judged on content, grammar, and clarity of thought. Your review doesn’t have to be perfect, but it does need to make sense and be well written. Proof read, proof read, proof read! If you need help writing a good review, ask for help at the library! We’re here to help!
Please don’t put your name on the book review. Attach this form to the front.
Check out the Teen page for information on writing a winning book review.
